Start with your entrance and ticket
Use the park’s official ticket shop. Check your selected date, entrance and entry time before paying. We do not sell park tickets. Prices, availability and opening arrangements are managed by the national park.

The official route network offers different distances and starting points. The examples below are planning references, not a statement that a route is open today. Consult the park’s current programmes before you set out.

Arrive with a little room to spare
Check the journey to your booked entrance, not just to a pin labelled Plitvice. If travelling by bus, verify the stop and return service with the operator. If driving, allow time for parking and walking to the entrance.
Make comfort part of the plan
Bring shoes with grip, weather-appropriate layers and drinking water. Ask the park directly about accessibility for your needs; steps and uneven paths can make some routes unsuitable. Avoid judging accessibility from photographs alone.

Can I swim in the lakes?
No. Swimming is prohibited in the national park. Stay on the marked visitor paths.
Where should I check today’s opening hours?
Use the official park’s opening-hours page. Seasonal access and transport operations can change.
Is one day enough?
One day can give you a rewarding first visit. Staying locally the night before can make the morning less rushed. Choose your route around your pace, not a checklist.
